A lot of us have new dogs and I'd like to know how your little friend is doing.

We are getting there with Dylan and now enjoy our walks rather than it being a total trauma of pulling, lunging and sniffing. :-)

Rodney’s in the doghouse. He’s just eaten the second Sky remote in 2 weeks. OH is not a happy bunny :0)
I really envy you auntpolly, we lost Max back in 2002 and niether of us is really fit enough to look after another dog let alone a GSD.My avatar is a shot of Max when he was about 9 weeks and we lost him many happy years later just before his 16th birthday.Don't forget post shots of him (or her) he when he finally arrives.
Sorry, I don’t have a dog, but I have a rescue cat who is adorable. She’s made us so happy, and we hope she’s happier than she was before.

Just wondering, how does a dog manage to eat a Sky remote?
Well, he didn’t actually eat them, more like just chewed them to bits.

It's lovely to hear that the new generation are doing well and settling down.

So we have Lola, Jay, Daisy, Duggee, Dylan a couple of JR's and also much loved cats.

I'm looking forward to seeing APG's new GSD puppy. Having had two GSD's myself, I know what splendid dogs they are.
Can't wait to see a pic. of the GSD pup. I love GSD's.
ilovemargie we are on a waiting list for a GSD from a reputable breeder. The *** is going to the dog soon but puppies won't be ready until after Christmas. We've been 'interviewed' as appropriate owners and passed so it will be something to look forward too after what will probably be a very different Christmas for everyone.

Is it a long haired parent, APG?
Both short haired parents Tilly, both from working dog lines with good hip scores. The female is lighter, the male darker.
Paddywak -just seen your post what a lovely pic of Max. I will definitely post some pics when we get our new puppy and probably ask for name suggestions too !
Question Author
It's probably easier to manage a short haired on. Both of mine were long haired and it took an awful lot of grooming to keep them tidy.

If I ever have another GAD, it will be short haired.

Best wishes that all goes well, APG.
Something to look forward to APG. I love their huge, great feet when they are pups and of course that adorable face.

...and the droopy ears.
Dare I say, I have my eyes on a young female whippet. I need to get a bit more information on her though.
Plus, I may not be able to do anything just yet as I'm expecting to be going to daughters soon-ish.
We shall see...
Please let us know, pasta. Good luck xx

I hope it works out for you, Pasta.
