my mini yorkie "Dollypop" is five months old but is just 3 kilogrammes which the vet said is a healthy weight and because she is a mini she will probably be about 4 kg when she is fully grown.
my worry is that i am having her speyed at 6 months and i am very worried that as she is so little if she is strong enough for this type of operation.any advice would be very much appreciated, thank you.

They regularly spay chihuahuas, and cats are also small, so I am sure there is nothing to worry about. Probably more risk in letting her get pregnant!
Although you say she is a 'mini' Yorkie, she is in fact the correct size, as the breed standard requires them to be no more than 3.1kgs. Most Yorkies are just way too big.

They will weigh her before surgery and give her only the amount of anesthesia safe for that weight. There is always a risk whenever any animal or human goes under anesthesia.
I have had many cats spayed and neutered and i still call and pester the vets office on the day of surgery just for my own piece of mind. Ask around what time the surgery will be performed and then call shortly after to check on her. I'm sure she will be fine. You are just a concerned doggy mum.
