But cats are fickle animals and I would imagine that many have refused to use this expensive toilet. I have a litter tray with a lid which is fine and keeps the smells to a minimum. My main problem used to be keeping George from trailing cat litter all over the house - especially under my duvet. I think he lept over the newspapers that he was supposed to wipe his feet on.

They are not that expensive in the States. I think a couple hundred $, which is about 100 pound(ish) i found a round robot type electric litter box that rolls like a cement mixer after the cat exits so the waste falls to a lower tray. It's about $300
and i researched it because i found out the one like you've shown in that link tends to get gummed up with pee and litter clogging the rake thingy that cleans the litter. The round robot one does not have this problem. As soon as i can save for one or two i plan on getting one as my cats are indoor only.
