Has anyone tried these? i have a 12 year old Scottie who is getting very stiff in his joints i have tried him on Remadel tablets from the vet but they didint seem to work,or can anyone recommend something else? Thanks

Haven't tried them, but I would have thought you'd have to give so many for them to have any effect, that the dog would put on weight and put more pressure on its joints!

Try a Bioflow Magnetic Collar - look on ebay, they are cheaper (about �25).

Also Denes Greenleaf Tablets available from pet shops, or anything with Glucosamine in it.

Agree with the magnetic collars but in my experience they can work really well for some dogs and hardly at all for others... who knows why!
Cod liver oil tablets are also good for stuff joints, he'll get a nice shiny coat too

Did you mean Rimadyl tablets? If so these are anti- inflammatory and pain killers so there is no reason why these shouldn't work unless the dose wasn't right. Of course no matter what you give him he will never really be hopping about like a spring lamb again especially if he has calcium deposits on his joints but Rimadyl should take the pain away at least, of course they are quite expensive....

Try fish oil capsules. They work for me and they worked for my old dog, till she was past it.

Have used them for six weeks as directed...did not do a thing for my two oldies.Have to agree with lankeela greenleaf tablets seem too do more good and help my two its not a cure but does seem to ease their joints for them.

They're rubbish! Use glucosamine or greenleaf like lankeela says. Go easy on the cod liver oil, has a lot of vitamin D in it!

My old German Shepherd (RIP) was given GLUCOSAMINE each day for his last 2 years of life (he lived to 13 yrs and 5 months) he had been on RIMADYL but I was able to take him off that as the GLUCOSAMINE worked really well, I take it for Arthritis pain and it does work.

Definitely glucosamine - Zipvit are ususally the cheapest place to buy them.
The thing that made the biggest difference to my creaking retriever was a wonderful equine/canine chiropractor. In 15 mins of gentle manipulation she gave my old dog a whole new lease of life. Magic! Worth every penny.
