Hi! We are going on holliday to Cornwall for two weeks, but the problem is we have no one to look after our rabbit, and was unsure as to wether rabbits are safe to travell for a long journey (aprox 7 1/2hrs) as we could fit his cage in our car anyway. I have heard that you should use a travell box as they feel safer. Hes only 12wks. Anyone know anything about rabbits travellling or problems they might have???

I've had several rabbits in my time and NO rabbits don't like to travel at all. They lose their balance and often suffer motion sickness. His water will spill with the car's movement. What if it actually stops raining and becomes hot?. When YOU stop for a meal/drink are you going to take the rabbit in with you? And when you get there are you just going to leave him/her alone while you go out and have fun on your holiday! If it is sick you wont know the local vet etc Lets face it would YOU like to swap places with your rabbit? I used to put mine in a cats boarding kennel for the time I was away where they were quite happy. Where do you live?
