I havent got a problem picking it up but on a pedestrian crossing!!how are you supposed to know when they want to poo?can you train them to go in one spot in your garden?

he does it in his crate aswell. and i always take him in the garden b4 we go to bed.
Have you tried feeding him Crunchies for puppies? It is possible there may be something wrong so get him checked over by the vets to be on the safe side.
I cannot give my dogs anything made by pedigree it gives them the runs .I stopped giving pedigree many years ago [my dogs are 15] and have never had any problems apart from minor tummy upsets which most dogs can get from time to time.If I was you I would change but make sure you do it gradually.Good luck .g.
I aggree with Garner about the Pedigree Chum food, I've come accross this many times with dogs, also I think 1-2 hours at night is far too much excercise for a puppy of that age, he only needs a couple of 10 minute a day walks. He needs to be put in the garden every hour and especially after food and play, make sure he gets lots of praise when he does it in the garden. A really good food for pups is Burns puppy food, they have a site which gives you a lot of information on how to feed your pup, there's no waste with this food so he won't be pooing so much but as Garner says you must do it gradually over a week or he'll be getting more upset tums. HTH
Why don't you take him into the garden on the lead before you take him out and wait until he has pooed before going for your walk. Then praise him like mad, so he gradually gets the idea that is where you want him to go. Often the exercise loosens them up and they need to go, so walk round the garden with him until he has been. As above, too much exercise for a baby! He is not learning when he is supposed to go, as he doesn't know how long he is going to be out, so shorten the walks for a while and encourage him to go in the garden.
