How to stop puppy chewing my hands
My puppy wants to chew my hands and fingers all the time. Her teeth are very sharp!! Can't remember this with my Jack Russell puppy 3 years ago but I'm sure he was just the same. How long does this chewing go on for and how can I discourage her. Thanks.

They also use it as a way of learning how hard they can bite before it becomes painful, i.e. when playing with their brothers and sisters and other animals. Their mother or siblings would give a high pitches yelp when the teeth made contact, so this is what you must do, yelp and quickly pull your hand away, turn away from her and don't talk to her, as though she has upset you. Don't allow her to play again until you decide. Make sure she has plenty of chews and toys available at all times and give her an alternative to chew on.
okay seriously, everytime pup nips, you squeal and withdraw you hand and walk away from him...that's what her litter mates would do and that's how she will learn to inhibit her bite.
Give her the real cold shoulder and a good ignore then go back again...if she does it again withdraw. Play calm games and try not to wind her up. If she does it while in your lap, after the squeal, calmly put her on the floor and don't allow her up again as prt of the ignore
Patience and pesistence will work and pay dividends...you don't want her chewing on you with her big gnashers!!!
