For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.try grating pineapple or courgettes into both dogs' food - this acts as a deterrent - put your dogs on a good quality complete dog food like Eukanuba or similar -Eukanuba has a high digestible ratio of approx 72% which means only 28% comes out the other end. Cheaper dog foods only fill up the dog, they don't give all the required nutrition which makes woofies look elswhere for it. It's cheaper in the long run to feed the best. Work out your dogs' life style -and will assume as they are Boxers they get a high exercise regime so feed according to the manufacturers recommendations. Having said that, look at your dogs and see how they go - maybe increase, decrease a bit - whatevers needed to keep them healthy.

The other answers indicate that better feeding may be the cause - but also consider that something may have frightened her and made her unsettled.
Eating faeces is a pack dog's way of making sure that no-one traces the pack by scent, and a dog will do this if she feels under threat.
Make sure you give your dogs lots of affection and reassure them if they seem edgy - this may be some or all of the probelm you have.

Oxo, lots of different advise on here.
My dog does this but this is due to a illness but the reason dogs do this is one of two things;
1) Your dog is attention seeking, do you tell her off when she does it? if so this is a wa of her having attention that her brother does get.
or
2) Because she isn't on a good diet (no offence but the cheap dog food are cheap fpr a reason) If a dog eats a poor diet then they lack the nutrients she needs and when she eats the food her body digests it but there isn't much in it so its pretty much the same product that went in one end coming out of the other plus she maybe hungry but the is less likely.
As for what food to eat as the other person suggested Eukanba is good James Wellboved is very good as it no dairy or wheat etc.
You should also consider vitamins/supplements to give her a boost.
Finally have you tried a product called DETER you can get it from all good pet stores its tablets that go with there meal and dogs love the taste of them.
good luck!
