dog in a flat?
I'm wondering if I can keep a dog in the flat? I'm the flat owner but this is a leashold not freehold property so I'm not sure. I'm in the country since 2004 so I don't know how it's look like by the law? No dogs in flat or...?

If cross-leased you only need to worry about the local by-laws regarding nuisance to other people in general. This can change between different districts.
If leasing the whole property you will find any restriction in your lease contract.
Whatever, you will be best advised to discuss this with your direct neighbours first and then make up your mind. You will probably have to live with those neighbours longer than the dog and it is always a lot more pleasant to get on well with them.
