guinea pig keeps coughing

hiya we have two 16 week old peruvian guinea pigs and one keeps coughing when he has a drink ive watched him whilst hes drinking and he tends to rub his nose on the bottle nozzle so of course it seems the water keeps going up his nose it sounds awful when he does it so why does he keep on doing it? ive looked on the internet but most indicate a breathing problem and his lungs sound clear and he doesnt cough any other time anyones answers would be greatly appreciated thanx xxxx

Hi babybop, have you got the water bottle at the right height for them? .Just check it out ,they should not have to reach up for their drink or bend down [ both to exstreems] other than that just keep an eye on him/her could be because they are young.g
