Well , I help to do home checks for a couple of rescue organisations and arranged a new home which didn't turn out too well so I picked up the dog to return her to the kennels, took her back 60 miles and then went back the next day and brought her home. That's it in a nutshell. So now Meggie isn't an only dog any more and has to contend with a 2 year old springer Spaniel.

She needs a firm hand but is doing very well. She has today unloaded the washing machine and made off with the knickers and not long ago presented me with the TV remote control. But she's adorable really. (Meggie is still my baby though)

Hi Peri and Poodi.
Molly is the reason I haven't been about for a good few days!!
Alice cat now has her own apartment upstairs until Molly learns not to chase cats and Alice cat learns not to taunt dogs!! Alice now has her own entrance to the house via a back window onto a low flat root. Meggie dog is still wary but things will be OK eventually (I hope!!)

Meggie - I do apologise for spelling - confusing you with Big Sis' lurcher pup. Went to the dr today and he couldn't take his eyes of my arms - lurcher claws are still very long when just clipped! I have an electric grinding stone stored in the shed..............
It is the lurcher's version of shaking hands - I am better able to cope in the winter with long sleeves (;-))

Actually ttfn. Molly didn't disturb us at all last night (her first night). She settled well downstairs in the utility room in her basket. Meggie slept on the spare bed which is based in Alice Cat's new apartment upstairs. Alice sleeps in a basket on the blanket chest at the bottom of our bed.
See,we have it all worked out!! ;o)
How big is said lurcher?

all this talk of new pets and rescue dogs not good - have today handed over a foster back to the breed rescue place. He's going onto a working home which is brilliant. despite a huge concerted effort by me he slipped in under the radar and certainly found a place in my heart. am missing him so much - he was very difficult to begin with but such a great dog when his true character came out. - oh boy, reach for the tissues again.
sorry for you carmalee - I know exactly how that feels. I had to give one back as it did not get on with my old infirm dog, no matter what I tried. The home was miles away but I learned later that the dog had returned to within just a couple of miles from me and I felt cheered by that. Never went to see him in his new home - it would not have been fair on him. chin up ♥
