She eats well otherwise. Is it a diet deficiency?

Mine do it all the time, particularly ornamental grasses (inside and outside the house). As redhelen says, it's often to make themselves sick, when they have only liquidy stuff to bring up. Make sure you have no poisonous plants to hand which could be dangerous to the cat. Half my ornamental grasses never get a chance to grow to full height!
I grow a tub of cat grass for my two idiots to chomp on - they really like it. I don't know if they 'need' it but I don't 'need' chocolate but I still enjoy eating it.
I keep a supply of cat grass as well - it's easy to grow & pots up well. Mine eats it, lies in it & rolls around on it. He's partial to a fern frond too.
Yeh I grow cat grass for mine too (catnip) my cats adore it (in fact its known as the 'cats cocaine'. Can be bought from most pet shops already potted up to grow, just need to water it.
Mine aren't interested in catnip grass, but they would swap a bag of biscuits for catmint, anytime. One of mine sits in it, and then comes in stinking of it.

Thanks for all the answers. I'll buy some cat grass and give it a go.
