Most doggy problems arise because us humans just have to anthropomorphise everything. If you put yourself in the place of your dog and see it as a dog then a lot of it is common sense. Sadly people rush into to buying pets without doing much if any research and then wonder why it's all going wrong. The people who should read stuff like this are exactly the kind that won't.
Why is this surprising, I thought most people knew that dogs are pack animals and prefer company, the domestic ones having the company of people. I personally think it's unfair to have a dog if you are out all day and leave it at home. The poor animals needs contact, not to be home alone for long periods IMO.
