My dog only farts when he's sleeping - never at any other time, really strange!! And yes, they are vile, but worryingly I seem to be getting used to them !!
Oh Yuk - what a subject lol. Yes I do think it has something to do with their diets though, just as for humans, best check out what is good and bad for them I guess..good luck lol.
That would be a big seller....especially if someone had been drinking Guinness. OMG, I nearly puked when OH came back from Ireland after a week on it..
I'd a friend with two dogs, neither of whom farted - unless, that is they were given cooked hare to eat. Then it became very obvious why the exclamation ''faugh!'' was invented. So, yes, definitely diet. And bags of mixed dog biscuits always used to include some of the black charcoal ones that Euphemia mentions.
Bobby farts too and good God they are rancid!!!
When they are really bad he actually gets up and walks away whilst looking at you in disgust like you were the one who just let rip!!
When we had our bull-mastiff cross (1980 to 1988) he was prone to being windy. I remember reading that certain breeds, ones with deep chests and narrow (in comparison) tummy, were more prone to gastric problems such as this.
I remember one Christmas where we were all sitting in the livingroom with the windows open due to Hutch letting off a few blasts of noxious fumes - it was freezing cold but we chose to die of hypothermia rather than asphyxiation.
My sis had a jack russell who did little poopy farts, they didn't always smell a lot. The thing I hated most was that his lipstick was always out when he sat next to me, and he sometimes had a little jiggity on my leg. foul little beast he was. My sis said not to worry he liked me!!!!
