Racoon update

The gentleman came around today to see the racoons and burst out laughing, they weren't racoons but were sable ferrets, I felt like such an old fool, i've got bad eyesight you see and to be honest looked exactly like racoons to me. he's taken them away to rehome them at a ferret sanctuary nearby so alls well that ends well. Thanks for all of your help.

Well I wouldn't call them mad sherradk afterall they're wild animals and I'm the one that stumbled into their habitat so I can understand why they were so frightened and unruly. Drfilth and karenmac yes I agree, I hardly knew them but grew kind of attached to the little mites, call me sad or lonely but I am happy they've gone to a better place. Good evening everyone.

Could you have not adopted one of the ferrets? They seemingly make excellent pets.

The guy may have laughed - but he probably has seen some horrible and cruel things done to animals in his time - this would have cheered him no end.

Your heart is in the right place - but your eyes may be a problem.

It's just as well you weren't tempted to try any of the delicious recipes I posted. A ferret stew wouldn't have the flavour or texture of Racoon

I have just googled Sable Ferrets and they are absolutely adorable. I hope you and your wife smile at the thought of this 'incident' (can't think of an appropriate word).

I just googled also...and they do bear a resemblance to raccoons. Really cute.
