3 Dogs Killed Today - Poison Alert
92 Answers
The Alnmouth to Warkworth beaches in Northumberland have been laced with poison and 3 dogs have died today. The police are involved and have "locked down" the beach to dog walkers.
Stay away if you're in the area. There are some sick people out there.

Hi chrissa1 - I will say hello and goodbye and look forward to the Northumberland feudal system entering the 21st century for both animal and human rights issues. I've only lived here for 13 years and past incidents concerning 'serfs', this incident now combined with the barbaric show I witnessed with the Percy Hunt hounds a few weeks ago have sickened me. Take care :)

OK, so:
<<there had been rumours that strychnine was the cause, but said that is usually fatal in dogs unless in very small amounts and that the animals would have been far more seriously ill.
Following enquiries with local vets, it was discovered two dogs may have ingested slug pellets.”
A spokeswoman for Northumberland County Council said: “We are aware that two dogs were taken ill>>
That's that cleared up thank heavens.
Slug pellets should be banned anyway - do too much damage to wildlife.
