Dog peeing all over the house.

Can anyone please advise on how to stop my dog (16 month old male border collie) from peeing in all different places in the house.
Its not just a spray like scent marking ....Its a full pee.
He gets out 6 times a day and I just brought him back about an hour ago and he still pee'd down my kitchen door 20 minutes later.
He is not neutered and I dont really want to get him done as people are telling me it can change the dogs personality and take the shine off his coat.
Other than this problem he is a great dog.
Im at my wits end.

in my experience, neutering a dog does NOT work.( and i regret subjecting my dog to it) there are several sprays on the market that has not worked in my opinion . i think it is a short term behavioural problem that will pass with time. my current dog of 13 years destroyed all the kitchen cupboards (at the age of about 18 months) to my utter dismay (he got a repremanding), but has since turned out to be the most placid hound a man could want. as like children, some like to go through the terrible two's stage. i went through it at 24 : )

We got him as a puppy from a farm.
He was the only male with 5 sisters.

not where did you get him from. how long have you had him ?

We got him when he was 8/9 weeks old and he is now 16 months.

When did he start doing this, at what age . You had him from the age of 6/8 weeks.Has he just started.

i hope that this ceaseses soon. but please do NOT get him neutered. this is a myth when it comes to peeing and humping. i am not a prude nor a do gooder, so i shall say 'how would you like your bits chopping off' would it change you if that happened to you ?
i think it would change your characteristics quite a lot. and understanderbly so.

He has always done it but it was only in the lounge and not quite as much.
Now its in all the rooms and on anything thats left out like the hoover or my gym bag for example.
Ive tried all sorts of cleaning products that people are suggesting but nothing is working and I dont want to get anything new in the house until it stops.

Shooty nobody is saying get him neutered.That is not the issue here.

Shooty, I dont want to get him done cause he is such a lovely dog.
I dont think any poor creature should have to go through that.
Also, it would drive him crazy to have to wear that lampshade thing and he is quite a nervous wee soul too.

He is being a typical male animal,he is marking his teritory.Have you got any other pets?

No other pets but we had another wee dog before we got this one who died from chronic liver disease before he reached 1 year old.
The vet said he was probably born with it.

i'm glad to hear that. and am only expressing my experiences as a dog owner. i have spent a great deal of money on pet advise in the past. theropy for animals does not come cheap !! one of the best solutions i was CHARGED for, was to make sure the hound was fed after everybody else in the house was. this approach was to let the hound know that he/she was second in the pecking order. it combatted aggression and behaviour problems that i have had with a dog and a bitch. ps. don't jump down my throat as i was only trying to give advise. if you don't want hard advise, don't ask for it on an answer forum.

the answer bank is a forum of suggestion. for professional advise, seek veternary theropy ( at great expense ). i sincerely hope you resolve your canine problem, as i know what dismay it can cause.

Ive been to the vet and he said to get him neutered which I dont want to do.
I do appreciate all suggestions and just wanted to know if anyone else had solved the problem without the surgery.

stick with your thoughts LD and find another vet. too many professionals out there who want to make a quick buck because they don't know the real solution. try the PDSA for some advise. they will advise you with the dogs best interest at heart. good luck : )
