Dog peeing all over the house.

Can anyone please advise on how to stop my dog (16 month old male border collie) from peeing in all different places in the house.
Its not just a spray like scent marking ....Its a full pee.
He gets out 6 times a day and I just brought him back about an hour ago and he still pee'd down my kitchen door 20 minutes later.
He is not neutered and I dont really want to get him done as people are telling me it can change the dogs personality and take the shine off his coat.
Other than this problem he is a great dog.
Im at my wits end.

I would go back to 'puppy' training - you say he has always done it but only in the lounge. I would restrict him to the kitchen or area that is easy to keep clean. I would also invest in a crate and let him go in it to sleep, chew, etc for short periods, letting him out for a wee (stay out with him till he has done one or two). Bring him back and put him in the crate for a short...

I have never had a male neutered and never had one peeing in the house. As for Charlotte's advice, why bother giving it........
Has anything changed in the house? I would ask for the vet to check for any infection/diabetes/crystals in the urine etc. Is he drinking more? In the meantime, although he is going out 6 times a day, is he doing anything each time he is outside?

Yes you are the only one who can see you mythical elephant Charlotte, no responsible dog owner would 'get rid' of a dog because it's shwoing some behavoural issues. You work and solve them. If you simply discarded an animal whenever it did something you dind't like no-one would ever own one. Grow up, the poster was asking for advice on how to deal with the problem not silly remarks regarding disposing of their pet.
I know how tiresome territorial marking can be. Could it be that he is getting a 'trigger' from the places where has previously peed?
My JRT was a bit like this, but I washed everything down with a strong solution of white vinegar in water and that eventually seemed to do the trick.
Having said that, my Dobermann peed down my jeans - I was wearing them at the time.

I would also invest in a crate and let him go in it to sleep, chew, etc for short periods, letting him out for a wee (stay out with him till he has done one or two). Bring him back and put him in the crate for a short while with something to chew on. Take him for longer walks so he gets lots of chances to go, and praise madly when he does using a trigger word or phrase like 'good boy do wee wees' or something you are comfortable with! When you let him out of the crate take him straight out for a wee. Basically restricting the opportunity for doing it indoors. Hopefully he will learn what is expected of him, but it might take time as you have not done anything about it so far. Do not scold him, particularly as you say he is nervous. Do not use the crate as a punishment, make it his 'den' with a blanket and lots of toys/chews. Neutering won't stop this as its 'learned' behaviour that he has been allowed to get away with so you need to go right back to the beginning and house train him like you would a baby puppy. However neutering might calm him down and make him less hormonal and wanting to mark his territory. The biggest thing will be to give him something to think about so try obedience classes because Border Collies were bred to work all day and get bored very easily.
^^excellent advice from Lankeela as usual. You say he gets out 6 times a day, do you mean letting him out in the garden or taking him for proper walks, just letting him out in the garden will not help him, he will need to go for proper walks, not necessarily 6 times a day though. the act of walking and running etc will encourage him to empty his bladder and his bowels, don't bring him back until he has done so, then masses of praise and excitement.
He gets out in the morning for 2 hours to run in the park and chase his ball. Same again in the afternoon for approx 3 hours...And out for half hour walks in between and the last one is from 10 - 11pm...He pee's all the time when we are out...full pees and marking....Was not sure if its ok to take his water away at bed time ????
