What came first, chicken or the egg.

Not sure weather to believe this or not, seeing a hatching chicken breathes fresh air for about 24 hours, once it has pipped.

"Early creature" eh. That far back the lifecycle would have been such that it would be difficult to pinpoint when eggs as seperate defined things came into existence. So the question of eggs cease to be valid if you go that far back. Go back far enough and the early life, as eukaryotic cells, would have multiplied by mitosis. Do you still refer to them as creatures ?
