The RSPCA have released a CCTV film of two women abandoning an emaciated Rottweiler in Brighton - please crosspost and share to try to identify them.

Oh god, how cruel
I hope they are caught and punished. :-(
What is wrong with people? Why didn't they hand the dog in to the RSPCA themselves?

I hope they find them.

How cruel, poor old Hero, I hope they catch the cowards. What is wrong with handing him into an animal shelter, if they have too.
I saw this earlier. It really upset me. Some people are so cruel. No animal deserves to be treated like that.

I hope it gets the loving home it deserves and that these people get what they deserve also but I doubt it
This made me cry.
I'm sure they will be identified and I hope they're made to pay for what they did
Abandoning the dog was probably the best thing they did for the poor thing, but what gets me is how did they let the dog get in such a state of neglect in the first place!

"What is wrong with handing him into an animal shelter, if they have too."

It appears that there is a waiting list for dogs to go into shelters, they will often only take the dogs that they can home quickly, this leads to them being abandoned.
Scumbags !!!
I know abandoning a dog anywhere is awful, but they could have taken it to an RSPCA.

Scumbags.

It was abandoned in Littlehampton, not Brighton, which is 30 miles away from here. Not that it couldn't happen anywhere, unfortunately. This story is so upsetting, and the heartbreaking thing is that if the dog could have followed them home, he would probably have done so. When you run the video there is a good clear shot of one of the women's faces so hope they get what they deserve.
Does anybody else think it odd that they bothered to put a coat on him (caring) not being compatible with starving him almost to death (uncaring)? And did you also notice the one that tied him up walked off with the lead in her hands? Why? Do they have other dogs, I hope not?
He's a beautiful dog, such a lovely face. He only looks a baby poor poor boy. I'm sure he'll find a loving home forever home very quickly.
Too far away for me to help, but I hope they are caught.

I suspect the coat was to cover up the fact that he was so thin in case they were seen.
As mentioned, this was in Littlehampton, not Brighton
Ah yes lankeela, probably self preservation then, rather than concern for the dog.
Can't find the words to describe how I feel about them and what they have done. I expect if they are found it will be a smack on the wrist.
I know some people in Brighton that would gladly tie up those two Mangetouts and leave them out in sub-zero temperatures. See whether they like it.
Okay...they have big cars and will travel to Littlehampton too :0)
