Sad...

Our beloved 15 year old spaniel died yesterday. She had seen the vet last week - he said she was a sturdy old girl and could go on for ages. Then she took a stroke at the weekend, seemed to rally round from that, but on Monday she went down hill quickly. Vet came and put her to sleep.

Massive hole in our family. House is so quiet, Mr P is devastated as they've been joined at the hip for half his life. Oldest daughter keeps asking where she has gone and is saying Mummy and Daddy are sad.

My heart is broken.

I don't have a question, just wanted to vent my grief amongst other pet lovers.

So sorry to hear this 2sp. I went through the same thing in December when my little Tigger was put to sleep.

So sorry for your loss. My girl is 13yrs old tomorrow so I know how you feel.
I have never been able to read the whole of Rainbow Bridge, it is too sad.

Remember the good times you had with your dog and know that she was lucky to have a loving family. Some aren't so lucky.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Your story is exactly the same as ours and Jetspoon - same age, same illness (stroke) and same ending. Jet's ashes are buried in our garden under a rose tree. Sending you my love xx
