Poo On Decking!?

I havent been up on to our decking at the end of the gsrden since the snow melted but have just been up there and there are 3 separate piles of - to put it bluntly-poo. Its far too big to be from our cats, and there is no way a dog can get into our garden , so what else could it be from. A fox??

If a dog can't get in how could a fox? Have you googled pictures of fox poo, it's quite distinctive. Are you sure it's not a big cat?

if it really hums then chances are it is fox poo, they don't care where they go.

yes a fox or badger we get a lot of fox poo in our garden they walk through the garden iquite often during the day and steal shoes if we leave door open

prudie foxes can get over 6ft fences iv seen them they also sit in my neighbours roof (bungalow)

Ive seen a fox jump into out garden from the garage roof that backs onto our garden, but a dog couldnt do that I wouldnt have thought.

Its the size that a human would produce, and no im pretty sure its not!! lol

Foxes seem to be able to get in anywhere, climbing or digging. Funnily enough we live very rurally and don't see any foxes ever, except the odd dead one on the roads. They are much shyer in the countryside and avoid man (and shoes!! ;o) )

they are always pinching peoples shoes round here ,ran off with my favourite sandal so theres a lot of us with odd shoes ha!

I've seen foxes jump onto, and balance on top of 6 ft fencing while they have a look to see if the coast is clear.

Thats what I meant - if a dog did manage to get into our garden then there is now way he would be able to jump high enough to get back out, but I know foxes can.
Got to be a fox then!

It might well be someone else's cat, smow - poo and snow turn into a nasty gluey mess (I speak from first hand experience)

Perhaps it is a fox then. As I said have you looked at fox poo pictures, it often has twists either end and can contain bits of fur and bones. Bit graphic but what does it look like it's made of?

Most likely a fox, they can clear a 6 ft fence easily and get through the smallest of gaps. We have at least 2 that come in the garden and wind up the dogs. They even steal the dogs toys and have a stash under some bushes, as fast as I take them back they nick them again. Last night they nicked my muddy garden shoes that were left outside the back door. One was on the lawn the other in the 'stash', not chewed just stolen for some strange reason.

fox poo tends not to be that big unless they have scavenged indigestible stuff like the paper that food has been wrapped in. Fox poo is also one of the smelliest natural things in the UK

Fox poo, like the scat of most predators is often thinly pointed at one end, often black, depending on what they've been eating but will turn grey after several days of exposure to rain. Fox's are good climbers too.
