These rabbits must be terrified!!! It makes me sick what some people will do for entertainment, especially involving the young children who will often know no better!

Ratter...one on the worst examples of human behaviour at the expense of an animal. Last night I was in one of those moods where I could happily retreat to live in a cave in the West of Ireland and never see another human... scenes like this make it seem more attractive......
Just where would I plug in the hairdryer?
Seriously...this is sick. x
That was quite unsettling.

I am sure that the poor things are traumatised by the whole event. They were terrified after being turfed out of the truck seeing all those screaming kids running towards them ...........bad idea.

At least with the running with the bulls the bulls get to gore a human or two.

I couldn't watch it all :(
Poor bunnies.
That is awful.
My sympathies also lie with the children who learn from the parents and for them this behaviour is the norm....then, god help us, they will breed. :-(
Oh dear - what bonkers-brain thought that up? awful.
That's barbaric
whatever it is i can't watch, sick to death of animal cruelty
I'm still brooding about that clip about the prancing horses earlier this week, can't get it out of my mind.
I could only watch a few seconds of that one Boxy, too disturbing. As it is i watched this one through my fingers of one hand with the other hand hovering over the stop button.

Genuinely don't understand people sometimes, and we've the cheek to call animals dumb.
mankind is the one that is dumb. Not just Americans by the way
It's not so much the horse video itself (although that was horrible), it's the thoughts in my head afterwards about their ongoing pain and cruel treatment. Ghastly.
It must be nice to feel superior and all that... tell me again the current state of fox hunting in the U.K.? (http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/dec/25/britons-fox-hunting-ban-survey ). If it was so roundly abhorred by ya'll, why is it not completely abolished?

Or why the need for site such as this? http://petabuseuk.wordpress.com/

Might this not be a case of pot, kettle, black syndrome (PKB for short)... or, perhaps m'lady's petticoat showing, no?
As em stated its not just Americans. It's all cruelty to animals by individuals of all nations.

Of course cruelty happens all over the world but it only stops when people campaign about it. I was specifically making a point that there is no point in this silly ritual, terrifying rabbits just so they can be chased by screaming children, why not just hand the rabbits to the children.

Fox hunting is banned! thankfully.

One gets websites like that Clanad when a country is not in denial of the failings of human nature. It's when they don't exist one should be concerned.

Apologies if you felt your country was being picked on. I suspect that wasn't the intent even if the thread title did tend to imply of it. Could have been better put maybe.

BTW fox hunting is being tackled gradually, but you now what it is like to change the status quo when someone enjoys doing that which seems wrong.
Clanad, you have to admit that some of your so called sports are pretty iffy, as to fox hunting, those who still do it are breaking the law.
and you are killing one another in record numbers, children no exception, that may not be a sport, but a right by law, that doesn't make sense to me at all.

OG, its OK, you dont need to apologise on my behalf, I can apologise myself where I feel it is due.

I was specifically talking about Americans in the context of the question, the question specifically about young children chasing these terrified rabbits for entertainment.
Well.......I didn't like it.
However, I think that it looks worse than it really is as a cruelty spectacle and that the rabbits do not suffer psychologically or physically as suggested by some posters.

I wouldn't advocate taking part in it............I don't think.
