A friend's grandaughter nearly lost her sight through the disease that children can pick up from contact with dog faeces. I forget the name of the disease.
I wish all dog owners would clear up after their animals.
I also find it disgusting at the amount of disposable nappies found in layby's etc., or even slung out of car windows in the countryside.
I work in a shop and people tie their dogs to the railings next to the door.
Lots of dogs do poos whilst waiting for their owners and you wouldn't belive how many of the owners don't clear up the mess and just leave it in the doorway.
If we knew who it was we would obviously tell them but usually the first we know of it is when a customer treads in it and leaves a trail of it all around the shop and the smell hits our noses....
This is what our next door neighbour's little boy David, aged 5 years old, lost his eye to way back in 1966.

Now all you inconsiderate dog owners - think again!
I have got a thing about this. I think it is disgusting that Dog owners let their animals poo everywhere. There is an alley near me that dogs toilet in all the time. When it gets dark it is pitch black down - so god knows how you are meant to see it. I long to a dog owner let its animal have a sh*t outside my house, because I will pick it up with a bag, follow the bloke home and post it through his letter box. Ha!
Good for you shaneystar!
Some months back, we kept finding visiting cards just inside our gates, on our gravel drive. We were informed by two different neighbours, that it was a little old lady who lived at the end of our road, walking her terrier! By this time we'd had enough of treading it indoors & into our cars, so I wrote a polite but stern letter to her, saying that if she allowed her dog to empty the contents of its bowels on our drive again, we would not hesitate to report her to the local authorities. We have had no droppings since!
I am a dog owner and always have nappy sacks with me. I am also as you my off guessed a post lady the amount of mess I see is quite unbeliveable in my job you either step in it or our trolly wheels run through it. but what annoys me more is the amount of people that pick it up in plastic bags then throw it in the hedge bottoms or in my local forest I cant understand why they do this dont they know it takes years for these bags to break down.
