Not really, because I wasn't asking for help in re-homing my goldfish, I'd already tried that on Gumtree. This question was specifically asking if they would survive being flushed down the toilet. A perfectly simple question, which required a simple answer or other suggestion - not a torrent of abuse.

And I am absolutely grateful for this, but I'm afraid I can't force you to like or contribute helpfully to every single question I ask.
I'm also sorry that I'm no longer feeling quite so down and depressed and am maybe not coming across as sensitive as you would like.
