Getting Another Dog

If I ever ever ever got another dog - could he/she not be trained on a litter tray like a cat. If not why not - thanks for your answers.

Why can't you keep your dog safe in the house? How is it he manages to get out. I can understand it happening once but over and over again just isn't on. Amazed the poor thing hasn't had an accident or worse.

for ladybirder - downstairs I have 4 doors to close - so when Mr Harv hears someone at the door he gets very excited and I have to make sure all 4 doors are closed before letting anyone in. That can be exhausting and awful for the person trying to visit me.

I would have to say no to getting another dog conne, if you find it exhausting making sure all indoor doors must be kept closed. You sound so tired now.

Try a rubberbacked doormat, rubber upside covered with newspaper, preferably on washable exit-door floor. Cleaning is easy by replacing n-paper & rinsing mat rubber.
