Just like to say thank you again to all who responded to my question about how soon to get another dog, after losing our Bella in a freak accident.
The wonderful people at Jerry Green rescue centre at Blidworth have matched us up with a lovely dog whom we have had for almost a week now.
She has settled in well and seems to like living here!
She is very similar to Bella in some ways, but different in others.
she doesn't replace Bella, but she does make the house feel like a home again.
Whole family really pleased.
There seemed to be universal agreement on your original thread that you shouldn't wait to get a new doggy friend and I'm pleased that things have worked out so well for you.
We wanna picture!
(Upload it to http://upl.co/ , then copy the first link that's offered to you and paste it on this thread).
Well done rebus I am really pleased for you well done,I have decided not to try and replace Jordy,at 82 I don’t think it’s fair if something happened to me my youngest son would have a dog to look after,he will not get one for himself.
Jordy you could foster one though? Many rescues will let you foster a dog for the weekend or a few days or as long as you like just to give it a break from kennels. See how you feel when the time comes:-)
Sounds like this lovely dog has landed on its feet finding a home with you and your family. Hope you'll all be very happy together, but I know you will xx
