This is my parrot Dave doing his R2-D2 and Chewbacca impressions.

He starts off saying his cross between 'hi five' and 'bye bye' he says both but gets a little mixed up at times... bless. He has little plush toys of the Star Wars characters that he got for Christmas after my son taught him how to do the noises watching Youtube :0/

Booger.... this is the Chewbacca one

Excellent! You're very restrained as I'd have taught him curse words :)

By the way, turn the telly off ;)
Question Author
The problem is, if you turn the radio off he sits there and knows you want him to perform and then he doesn't make a sound lol

As for swearing... nooooo

Lisa x
he's good isnt he :-)
What a belter - thanks for that. :-)
you have a bird flying around your house ?
Are you phobic Anne? My Mum was, we had to lock our Budgies cage when Mum was here.
not phobic as such M more a case of hygiene !
Question Author
Yes Anne, Dave is out of his cage all day with me and flies where he wants. It's not as horrendous as it sounds as he prefers to walk and climb for the most part.
He does have a mad half hour at times when he just flies round and round the front room... but we just duck lol

Ahhh, he only poops in three places for the most part so it's pretty easy to keep clean :)

That is one indulged and very well socialised parrot!

I have a hen called Dave, she's nowhere near as cute as your Dave though :-)
Question Author
Ahh thank you. Yes he is thoroughly spoiled! The only problem is he is bonded to my daughter so when she is around he is down right mean to me and I have the scars to prove it lol
I'm sure your Dave is just as lovely, we were going to get hens but I have enough to do with Dave!

Lisa x
He is lovely and intelligent - but I think him talking incessantly would drive me more nuts than usual.

I don't know much about birds - how long do they live? One of my cats was watching him dancing around and speaking - Frankie is an ornithologist (feline division).

He's good, But we wouldn't have a bird flying round the House!

Not being judgemental, just each to their own.
Aww so clever he is just lovely. My little parrot hasn't started talking properly yet but he is trying. Is doing turkey imitations at the moment. I'm trying to teach him a few swear words in Italian.
