Three months old had her flu and leukaemia first injections today, as well as a spot on for worms and fleas, she doesnt seem happy, doesnt want to be picked up, keeps crying when I pick her up, not being sick but very quiet. Is this normal, will she be OK tomorrow? I wish I hadn't let her have the leukaemia jab now, all my other cats were very sleepy after it. Just the flu jabs seem fine. Poor little thing.

Both my kittens were very down in the dumps for 24 hours after their first injections, don't worry for now, should perk up tomorrow, just let her rest quietly/
Smurf, some cats and kittens don't take well to jabs. When I used to take our female young cat for her boosters, she would be completely flat and out of it for at least 24 hours after it. You have done the right thing in protecting your kitten against these potentially fatal illnesses.

Don't pick her up, just leave her in peace - she should be OK in a few hours. Cats need their me-time, particularly if they are feeling out of sorts. If you are still worried tomorrow, ring your vet.

Prudie and boxie, did your cats have the leukaemia injection ? I am sure that makes cats feel worse.

Thanks for your replies by the way, hopefully back to normal tomorrow.
I can't remember now - my cats are all over 12 years old. If it was available, I'd have wanted them to have it.
I take Frankie every four weeks. When we get home he wanders around howling for hours. He is slightly better when we use the Feliway spray.

A lot has happened to her in such a short time, she should settle.

Any photos?
Mine did but this is in the last year/few months. I worried too as I didn't remember kittens in my past being off-colour. I think it is quite a lot to have in one go, including the wormer and flea treatment. I've actually had 3 done in the last couple of years, they were all the same (sadly one got run over).
The FeLv vaccine is fairly routine along with the cat flu jab. It is an important vaccination. She will be fine..
My cat (6 months) slept after his jabs. He was fine the next day.

Fur baby back to normal today, thank goodness. I felt so sorry for her last night, and so guilty for making her feel ill ... Oh well back again for second jabs in three weeks ..
when i was growing up (yonks ago) we had cats all the time i can remember from 5 till 18 when the last one died of old age
not one was treated for anything, nor were many people then either, we never bough any "kitekat" etc just what we had left over from meals they were sent out at night,we were isolated somewhat and not one died of anything but age bar one, that got an infection in one of his legs so dad put him down.

***!!
boo this was in the 60s my dad owned a shotgun then (farming country) he shot "jimmy" clean and quick whats wrong with that
btw it was an injury from a wire trap it cut right into the bone
smurfy - don't feel guilty - it wid be far more distressing for you (and her) if she contracted the diseases that she's being injected against.
