Bad Year For Chestnuts.....

Just an observation.
Last year at this time, I remember stuffing my pockets with some good sized chestnuts, down in the woods,this year though, they are small and not worth picking and only fit for the squirrels.

I put it down to the dry September. We've had plenty of rain this month but its all come too late.

I live in north Cumbria and we have loads of huge chestnuts

Lots of lovely big chestnuts round here in NE Wales.
