Haven't had any here for years. The virus ripped through the population, its only now we are seeing the occasional adult frog.

Hi, Woof...my last garden...ten miles from here....was full of frogs but despite making two ponds here and seeing visiting frogs I've had no spawn....

I get no hedgehogs either....if I don't get lots of frogs I'll have nothing to talk to when I'm on the patio with a glass.....x
Get some frogspawn from another pond holder and fill yer boots,be careful though because someone told me its illegal to do this now, personally I havent heard of it officially.Frog spawn is usually laid last year, but it doesnt start hatching till the temperature is right for it.

Hi, Razza....frogspawn usually arrived in my pond in late Feb which is why I think I won't get any this year....

I know we are told we shouldn't move spawn now but I have friends in a nearby village who lose all theirs to snakes each year so if they get some soon I shall rescue it.....☺
Yes you are asked not to move frogspawn now. Its not illegal though.

I know round here where we've had the virus we are told not to move spawn because of the risk of spreading the virus.

Thanks for those, Woof...x
We used to get loads of from about April on but over the last few years the amount has decreased and last year we didn't get any.

Tony, I used to collect frog spawn from a pond off Clayton Lane in Clayton, Newcastle-under-Lyme!
Clayton Lane is probably a four lane highway now!
