Found him today for the 2nd time nibbling very good shoes ie £62 and the sole is ate off. I have worn them about 9 times

Some time ago I caught him nibbling other £62 shoes but just got him on time. All the toys surround him. Why do they go for shoes.

He's bored and he gets a reaction from you when he does this.

Dogs need to be played with and interacted with.

It may be worth your while keeping your shoes in a shoe locker/wardrobe out of harms way.

Yes I have left the new ones secretly hid - I am aware of the boredom. But why when there was so much to go for did he pick these.

They like the smell. Tilly picks my shoes and slippers up and takes them to her bed. She just lies on them though, using them as a pillow. She never chews them.

You have to play with the dog encourage him to play.

Oh gawd!! He needs to be shown how to play, if you play with him for a few minutes he will then play on his own.

Its like children encourage them and they will keep busy.
