yellow and black slug

i saw a yellow and black slug yesterday, it was humungous and it nearly ended up covered with regurgitated breakfast. is this normal? (the huge yellow and black slug, not me puking)

There was a really hot summer in the mid eightees and when I went outside to feed our cats one time at dusk I stood on one that was as big as my (bare) foot.  I was so ill, and washed my foot about three million times.  Maybe the warm weather does something to them.  Do you live near Sellafield lol?

There was a huge orange and brown one on my drive this morning - I didn't puke but I must admit it did put me off my sausage sarnie - the slug was about the size of a sausage!

Perhaps they swell up after the rain?

A yellow slug or 'Limax flavus'

A large, yellowish slug, the body of which is marbled and mottled with olive-brown. Tentacles blue and mantle with thumbprint-like pattern of concentric rings typical of all Limax species. Common and widespread in England, Wales and Ireland but almost always associated with gardens and houses; ventures indoors after dark and into cellars. Feeds voraciously on seedlings and vegetables.
