Unidentified Seedlings

Can anyone identify the above seedlings please? The packet was marked Lavender.....

When you rub the leaves do they smell of anything?

Whatever it is Rob it is not lavender.

The smell is faintly reminiscent of something..but I can't place it.
It's only faint - maybe medicinal.

Looks very much like a young cabbage or brassica, perhaps Kale?

I thought Lemon Balm., hence my question.

Nope, no lemon and if it's a mint it's not showing it yet...I had thought of a Brassica, Togo, on account of the stalks.

I couldn't quite see from your pic but it the stems are square it may point towards it being a member of the mint family.
I also thought lemon balm as a possibility.
They also remind me of salvia or honesty.

CC. The stalks are round section, have a pink tinge and are semi translucent. I think you can see this better if you enlarge the image.

CC. It looks like Salvia is the favourite - I'll bung them in the wildflower plot and see what happens....thanks for all the inputs.
