Bishops cap

A good try shaneystar, your almost there, your right on the mitre part, but 'wort' is a plant, in fact 'm', there are a few different types of mitrewort, including one from the Alpine regions, try googling the name, you should find it there.

It's a crossword clue chessman darling from the Daily Telegraph General Knowledge crossword on Saturday last And the general concensus amongst us puzzlers is that Bishops Cap is the correct answer. It fits the grid anyway.
Why these people can't post in the right category is beyond me.This question has been posted all over the place.
Can they not read the catergories at the side ? It wouldn't hurt them to confirm that someone has given them the correct answer or not. Grrr!!
Okey dokey shaneystar, thanks for that, I defer to you and stand corrected.

I know it as bishop weed but it is more commonly known as ground elder. Its one of the hardest weeds to get rid of, apparently we have the Romans to thank for its introduction to the UK as a food plant. If yuo look closly at a bud it looks exactly like a bishops mitre. I'am told the name bishop weed is more commoly used in scotland. anyone tried eating it ?
