10CS you clearly do not appreciate the relationship that a lot of folk have with their pets. I am sure that many share your opinion but it would be minority view still.

Animals are NOT humans, Anthropomorphism and all that!
BUT...Animals (pets) DO become like family.
I was upset when my pet rats had to be put down. People thought that I was bonkers (it was only a couple of rats) but I was genuinely upset so I can sympathise with Smow.
