Cherries

I have just had a great hours entertainment watching the blackbirds steal the cherries from my tree. It is amazing the positions that they get themselves in!

My dad took great enjoyment at watching the birds in his front garden, alas the sadistic old git also enjoyed watching the pussycats in the bushes.

He said that the cats were worse than useless in their hunting skills and the birds probably laughed at them.

I have 2Yorkshire Terriers that sit with me and only 3 metres from the tree. They don't take any notice of the birds!

On of my neighbours has a cherry tree. The cherries are yellow. The blackbirds don't seem interested in them.

We've just been watching a couple of blackbirds feeding 2 chicks from our tree.

I've seen huge flocks of starlings completely strip wild cherry tree bare, in the woods. They just clean up then clear off.

The blackbirds also get most of the grapes from my garden!
