Goodbye Caspar ♡

I had to have my mad, noisey, talkative, drove me crazy, boy put to sleep this morning...
He seemed to become unwell suddenly...though I fear I didn't read the signals soon enough. The vet said kidney failure. He would have been 13 this year. I've been preparing myself for Sally to go first. Not my seemingly full of beans old moggy.
I've felt numb all day...until I had to tell my daughter a short while ago. The flood gates opened before I could get any words out.

Oh I'm so sorry, melv. It's hard enough for us as adults...but to have to prepare children is so difficult.

The oldest is four in April and is very emotional, she'll be distrought.

Kidneys are the weak spot with cats (my puss died due to kidney failure). By having Casper put to sleep you prevented him from suffering and acted in his best interests. I hope you feel better soon.

I'll still worry that he suffered...cats don't tell us.

No they don't but I do think that they have a sense that their life is coming to an end. You just made the end of his life more comfortable

Feeling rough this morning...and I didn't have the wine I fancied. Very sore eyes...
I want him to come charging down the stairs :(

Sorry for your loss Pasta, I had to put my cat to sleep 2 years ago, he was 17, it still hurts.
