Living in Hove, actually, one doesn't expect to hear a Rooster but glory be, after all these years someone in the vicinity has got one. I hear it on and off throughout the day and I think, for a moment, I'm in the countryside again. Love it. On the other hand, my next door neighbour can't stand it and says he'd like to strangle it. Oh dear.
How would you feel if you were me?

I agree with you. I grew up with farmyard animals and I love the sound of hens gently clucking and singing. Then the crow of the rooster breaks in and it never fails to make me smile.

How lovely, it wouldn't bother me either - I love to lie in bed and listen to the Owl outside my window.
I wouldn’t mind it unless it woke me up early in the morning.
i'd swap it for the three yappy dogs by our house they drive me mad going on for hours x

So pleased to hear I'm not on my own with this;-))
LB, we have a rooster round and about somewhere. It is lovely to hear. Fortunately, I never hear it crowing at 4.00 am on a midsummer morning. Mr T does, but it doesn't bother him.
it depends......a decent distance away, love it....right next door not so much...same with the owls who sit in my trees and yell at each other...nice up until about 2am, less nice after that.
I love it, when we had the farm we had a big cockerel called Rufus, he started crowing at 5.30 and that was my alarm clock. The couple who bought the barn conversion house in the farmyard wasnt happy at all!! THEN DONT BUY A BLOODY HOUSE IN A FARM YARD!!!
If I chose to live in a rural area, not such an issue, if I chose to live in an urban area, then rather a large issue every morning.
Great video clip Lady. Not sure I would want one next door mind. A distance away is just fine though.
Haha.

I'm not sure how near this one is. Some days it sounds as if it's coming from the nearest house and another time from up the road. It's a very clever Rooster.
Togo one of my favourite clips. Christopher Bruce gets it so right;-)
