For me...and a rescue hound.
I'll be meeting my next new hound on Saturday. I just couldn't wait, but I thought it would take a few months to find a match.
He's a five year old, ex racer who broke his leg. I'm hoping my home will be his forever home.
When they change kennel they often get their kennel names changed and never seem to bother - probably because they are rarely used to call them like you would a pet dog - they usually come running to you when you appear at a paddock gate. Often kennel staff just call them part of their racing name so it can seem a very odd name - I had one called Stonehenge!
Aaww, that's great news pasta. My niece fosters and rehomes retired greyhounds and I've always found them to be canny big lumps who like their comfort. Sure yours will bring you much joy.
Pasta, our dog and three cats will be my life saver. Hubby walks dog. Ì can't any more, but just having the animals around brings us so much fun (and work!) .
