Lol jj! Thank you!

Yes L-i K...he's quite chilled. A 40mph couch potato.

Today's Sammi Progress Report...
He got all the way down the stairs last night...took about 15 minutes and copious treats...but he did it!!
He then had a WALK of about ten or 15 minutes...sniffing, marking and pooing. This is a big deal. Of course, he won't do it in daylight for a while I'm sure.
lol jj, thank you :-) ♥

ooh, a wee practice heart lol

ooh, baby steps are coming along nicely (really can't say puppy steps, can I? lol)

Heck, I seem to have a dose of 'oohs'. ♥
Ah! I understand from another thread that S has separation issues. So its got to be S for Shadow pasta LOL. And what a brave boy going out with you in the dark, he's so sweet. Ta for the update.

He's much better at night...fewer noises and distractions.
This morning he was very brave, and went trotting towards a lady at the other end from my flat. I think he's better with women. Not uncommon as the racing trainers aren't known for giving cuddles.
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
I bet he loves you now pasta;-). You are his whole world. xx
Good to hear that things are improving, Pasta.
I'm really happy for you pasta.
Don't forget we have shares in this little beauty X
good I am glad things are settling down
and up to expectation - lucky girl
Annette Crosbie loathes giving interviews but will do so on the proviso that she can mention the rehoming of ex-racers, she always does.

If you have seen the film of The Calendar Girls she is taking breakfast with her husband in the conservatory whilst making a fuss of her greyhound.

Here's tonight's update...
Last night, we had 2 walks...woohoo! One at almost 8pm, then a second at midnight.
And today, so far another 2...and one was in DAYLIGHT!! We even got into the park...which he's shown no interest in until now. It was rather windy and noisey/blowy...so it was only a 5 minute visit.
He's really doing quite well.
Oh, but I also discovered I have to keep my hands away from his dish when he's eating...I got a big growl.
You need to sort out the growl with food. There could be past issues with food being taken away. Can you ask him to sit before you feed him and stand close while he is eating but do not touch the bowl till he has finished
I was thinking about your query if Sally would have approved. The answer came to me in the middle of the night.
A resounding yes and she couldn't have made it any clearer for you.
It's because his name is so close to hers that she approves.

He seems to be improving leaps and bounds daily, love it!! x
Aww, pasta. Just seen her. Gorgeous!!
Good looking dog you have there, pasta. I'm sure that you'll both get on very well together.

calmck...no, it was my fault. His bowl is on a temporary, raised stool...until I get a proper raised twin bowl for him. As he is so keen when he eats, the bowl usually lands on the floor. I decided to push it over before it fell. This is something I know I should not have done. And his reaction is quite common in greyhounds that have never lived in a home. I'll be speaking to the behaviourist about it.

Chrissa and Tony...I need to get a better photo. Black dogs are difficult to get the best photos of.
