I've had free Petplan coverage for a month, but it looks rather expensive. I've got a list of quotes but would like to know what others have.
I don't have any but I have a wee fund set aside that spare lump sums get deposited in as and when they occur.
To properly insure my three working dogs is prohibitively expensive.
Bought by Many here too.
Our Daisy came to us from a puppy farm on 7th January. They insured her with no medical history, apart from the pregnancies.
She had a nasty UTI in March. The claim is all done on line. Very efficient and money straight into bank account. I would recommend them.
Like Shoota, I don't insure my pets, prefering instead just to make sure that I've got a few thousand pounds spare credit available on a card in case of emergencies.
The only one I would recommend is Petplan. Yes they aren't cheap but I have never had a problem with a claim, they pay quickly or can pay some vets directly and they are very helpful when needed. There is also the covered for life option which may policies don't offer.
I am with Petplan and unfortunately I have not had the same experience as Woofgang. My dog ruptured his cruciate ligament and during xrays and investigations it was discovered that he has congenital problems with his knees and hips. His treatment for this is expensive. Petplan refuse to pay anything. Unfortunately I found this out just after I had paid a year's subscription to Petplan. It definitely will not be renewed.
Another vote here for Bought By Many. They are online only, and the coverage I have for Eric (BSH cat)was the most comprehensive I found. They also have a vet app (he is registered with a local vet, also).
