I know this thread is old now but I have this webcam on favourites and have looked in daily since sanmac posted it, several times a day at weekends. It has fascinated me. I've seen deer like mammals as well as the elephants. Last weekend I watched an amazing thunderstorm with fork lightning in that last hour of the evening when it's dark but the camera still...

Sanmac, I'm wary of opening this. It's not bad news is it?
Question Author
Not at all; it's a reserve. Right now the sun is going down, so a lot of detail is lost.
the earlier snapshots shown below the webcam give better detail, as they weren't shot directly into the sun.
Oh that's beautiful. I can still see their reflection in the water. Thank you so much for posting. I shall save the link so I can watch whenever I like. xx

Watch for the fiery sky-line after sun-set. That solitary tree on the right sometimes appears to be ablaze. Later on, a light will come on and you can see activity at the bottom part of the screen.
There's one just walked up to the water now, right at the front of the picture. Yay!

Scroll down and click on Camp Kuzuma and check out the prices!
They are a delight to watch, thank you.
How lovely to see them free and drinking water in beautiful surroundings, my favourite wild animal.
Is that price for a DAY sanmac? What a place though. Just the sort of living I could become used to.
Pachyderm heaven.
Question Author
That's per day, LB, and then you have your air-fare etc. Keep on watching and the sky will become really red, and that tree on the right will be aflame. Later on, lights will come on and you will see the elephants at night, and also what appears to be a display of what appears to be fire-flies.
I've copied the link to my computer now thanks so I shall keep my eye on it.
Cheap at half the price to have such an experience I say.
Have you been sanmac?
Question Author
Too expensive to me, but I've been watching it on and off for a few months now and sort of got used to what happens and at the approximate time. Click on "EarthCam Network" at the top left of the screen, and you'll see a list of other webcams around the world.
Used to do shuttle flights from JoBurg to Gaborone. Botswana was and still is one of the best places for a safari.

That must have been one hell of an interesting occupation, 237SJ.
Can't say I remember a lot - whilst off duty most of the time we were either eating steak in SA or swathed in a haze of S African red wine :)
Question Author
Wow, in that case, I shall repeat my previous statement: "That must have been one hell of an interesting occupation, 237SJ.":)
Lovely to watch such majestic creatures.
Question Author
LadyCG, right now the camera is "down". That often happens at night. Check in the morning, Botswanan time is 1hr. of you in the UK.
You must have been working for an airline then 237??
