I know this thread is old now but I have this webcam on favourites and have looked in daily since sanmac posted it, several times a day at weekends. It has fascinated me. I've seen deer like mammals as well as the elephants. Last weekend I watched an amazing thunderstorm with fork lightning in that last hour of the evening when it's dark but the camera still...
I'm glad you enjoy it, albaqwerty. It's interesting to watch two elephants engaging in a "staring-contest" over a drinking-spot. There's never any physical hostility; one just seems to shrug its shoulders and move away:)
I see the little one, how lovely. They seem to be having great fun spraying water everywhere. It's good to see so many today as when I looked early evening yesterday there was only one there all on its own and I wondered why.
I have this permanently open now and look in quite often, certainly in the mornings there's often nothing there. It gets difficult to see at this time in the late afternoon, I guess because the sun is low and facing the camera.
Oh never tried it with sound, yes I can hear it, sounds like some frog or bird at the moment. LB I might but I'm terrified of spiders, that would put me off any safari type holiday.
I hear the elephants swishing the water and blowing it out and I hear them trumpeting sometimes, also now and again a bird singing and the wind of course.
Shame about the spiders Prudie.
