It’s Late But Got Such A Fright

Let Lola out and within a few minutes she was yelping , it was horrible , what could of made her so frightened ? She was shaking and needed lots of cuddles to make her not scared

Could she have been bitten or stung by something ? Have you checked her for any marks ?

There’s no way a fox could get in ( I don’t think ) , it’s a privately fenced off rear garden

Check her paw pads for any wounds and if she seems uninjured just keep calming.

Foxes can climb! They are great climbers. 6ft close boarded fence is no problem.

But unless there is any obvious sign of injury I wouldn't worry. I also wouldn't make too much of a fuss over it with her.

Barmaid's beaten me to it. I get foxes in my garden and I have 26' high fences. Hope Lola's OK.

Thanks all, she seems okay no visible sign of anything wrong with her , I never knew foxes could climb high fences though, that’s an eye opener for me, she’s still lying on our bed in the curve of Mr B sound asleep , thanks again, I appreciate yous we’re there when I panicked

You carry on cuddling her for as long as she needs Bobbi, I certainly would with my dog if he was distressed. Hope she's ok now.

I think she’s got a little scratch on her nose so I think it could well of been a disturbed hedgehog who’s needles rose when she sniffed it , Mr B says it was definitely nor a fox as Lola was up o the decking and and the security lights went on then off and he’d of seen it, she seems unaffected now thankfully

I remember on a couple of occasions my GSD came back with cuts and scratches all over his face.
He had chased a fox into a dense bramble patch, foxy knew the place like the back of its paw but my ol' dog didn't, he just ploughed through it like a bulldozer on steroids. He was certainly bushed by the time he gave up the chase and his tiker was going like a fiddlers elbow for a good while after that and I think he learned his lesson well, but chasing is what they do and they soon get over it.

We have 6' fences all 'round the back, no rear access and we still get foxes most evenings. We put the dogs out on extending leads after dark even with the outside lights, Bruno would be up the fence after them ;-)

At one time, we had a Staffie who used to bring hedgehogs in from the garden and drop them in his basket, in the kitchen.

How lucky are you? They won't hurt her and she won't go near them again after that fright so all's good;-))
