Playing devils advocate here (well sort of anyway) but isn't this some kind of solution to this problem? If the government had pledged money to helping feed school children during half term this would be funded from tax payers money anyway. Doing it through charitable sources cuts out the middle man. Millions have been raised and I'm happy to give a few quid here and there.
You only have to look at the eloquence and intelligence of ag's questions and answers in the past compared to the street text speak of the last year to find bizarre. However I believe this is too big a can of worms to open so best left alone.
