Where Do Birds Go?

There used to be a flock of Starlings would come and eat most of a fat block in a matter of minutes from a bird feeder. I haven't seen them this year. Where could they have gone?

They've found a better supplier, sandy. Fickle things, starlings
they are all in my garden !! zillions of the things !!
Yeah, they're probably feeding on all those cannabis plant husks growers throw out. Makes them fly just that teeny bit higher:-)

I remember watching them and one loosened a fair size piece from the block. Another snatched it out if its beak.
There's many a slip between cup and lip.
They seem to have become absent from a lot of places, where they were once common.
