No lankeela, but it is for prevention, especially in the warmer months.

It's prescription only so ask your vet if they think it's better that Advocate. Anything has to better than Advantage or Frontline :/

Why would you subject your pets to these chemicals if they don't have fleas or worms?

divegirl your vet will tell you it is best if they are getting a better deal from the reps!

Given that it only needs to be used every 13 weeks, rather than 4-weekly (as most similar products need to be), it's certainly got appeal to people like me who can spend a fortnight chasing a cat just to put one application on its neck!

However I'd be prepared to bet that anything that needs to be used that infrequently will cost far more than other products. Otherwise the manufacturers and vets would be making less money through selling it.

Possibly because ALL cats that go outside get fleas and most get worms?
