Assisted Dying, Here's Where It...

I regularly take my dog to the park and he loves running around like a maniac until other dogs start to mount him which causes him distress cause he hides behind my legs to get away from them.
Is it because hes been castrated or something therefore attracting males and is there anyway of stopping it apart from obviously going to another park.

Castration is nothing to do with this mounting thing, other dogs both male and female will mount a submissive dog to show dominance - nothing to do with the sexual side of things as so many people seem to think. Dogs instantly show their rank with each other on meeting to establish who is the alpha male/female, i have a lab and when he was young (castrated) he was constantly being mounted by a yonger bitch during play sessions....

Thank you Roughquest, lankeela is not quite got it, it has nothing to do with him be castrated (your dog still smells male, and females still smell female) it's his behavior with others, he's submissive acting and being a maniac so the other "bullies" are making a point of telling him to stay sub and some dominate to get them to calm down, without going into a long lecture about it, that's about the short version of it, this is where lankeela is correct: keep the others away from your dog he is looking for help when he comes to you, he looks to you as his "alpha" tell the other dogs to ****** off, this is called being "unruly" this is not allowed in our dog parks, the ones that mount will end up mounting a dog that doesn't want it and a fight usually develops, unless the humans take charge.
I had a pit do this to my female and yes she is spayed, and she hid by me, and I had to use my foot to keep him away while the onwer ignored it, I told him to get his dog before he got into trouble, he says he's harmless, told him no he'll get into it soon, he said never has trouble, so he went to the other side of the park and the pit tried to hump a doberman, they got into a fight, he was asked to leave.
