Lemming migration is not quite the same as the others. For all the examples except lemmings, the migration happens on a seasonal/annual basis. Lemmings remain in the same area until their population numbers get too large and food supplies cannot cope. Then, the lemmings will migrate out of the area in search of new homes and food. This happens perhaps every four years or so.
